That was the case with this beauty. It's a little smaller than our normal Butcher 18 x 12 size. Walnut is always a good choice for your kitchen. Easy on a knife's edge, lighter than Maple, and easier to maintain. This one is a little darker than most of the Walnut wood we get. We personally don't think this size needs feet, so we
