Berllanderi Green Age:2 YR Most likely a European varietyA dual purpose Welsh pear from Monmouthshire. Medium sized round fruit, starts green ripening to golden yellow with some russet. Flowers mid April. Discovered in 2000 by Dave Matthews in Berllanderi's Farm orchard, Raglan. The farm was once owned by the Duke of Beaufort and the fruit would once have been supplied to Raglan Castle. Bulmer's later used this orchard. Low acid, medium tannin perry.
