Instead of a pencil point laser dot it was about the size of a dime and sat on a metal spindle making it hard to position. I bought this product to replace it. I have been using it for almost 3 months and I have to say I almost cried the first time I used it. It was so much better. Pencil dot precise and positionable. I could be so much more accurate on my pantographs. I purchased a
