The General Service Medal 1962 - 2007 is commonly known as the Campaign Service Medal 1962 as was awarded with a minimum of one campaign clasp (in the instance 'Malay Peninsula') and it is believed that a maximum of six clasp have been awarded on one medal

Each medal is British made in the same historic factories that manufactured the original wartime medals

the DSM was discontinued and the DSC became available to all ranks of all services for exemplary gallantry at sea in presence of the enemy
