We buy them new and then do real feel spinouts and cylinder pulls. The threads are usually toast, so spinning in a new cylinder isn't an option, but the latch mechanism still work just fine. so they're great for training on how to move the latch after the cylinder is removed. Some are solid latch style and some are the hook latch style, both operate the exact same way
