今回の作品はわたしの好きなマーチの要素をたくさん盛り込んであります。たくさんの仲間と一緒に足並みを揃えて進む愉しさや心強さ、太鼓やグロッケンなどの楽器類を使ったキュートさ、「おもちゃのマーチ」のチャイルディッシュなイメージなどをね。散歩しているときに口ずさむ鼻歌のように、歩調がリズムを刻んでいる音楽のことをシトロン流儀で「マーチ」と呼ぶのだと思います。暗夜に家路を急ぐときの不安な気持ちを励ましてくれるマーチ、陽射しを浴びてのんびり歩くときのBGMのマーチ、好きな人と一緒にいるときの鼓動（早かったりゆっくりだったり）にBPMを合わせたマーチとか……このアルバム『ウナ・マルチーア』はそんなシチュエーションのサウンドトラックになれればイイな、と思います。（片岡知子・2001年）
