Western Flyer Hot Tub Fish Handplane Surfboard wooden surfboard that pays homageThis double concave, super glossy, fish shaped handplane is totally unique. The redwood come from a hot tub salvaged in Aptos, California. The thick, dark, center stringer is Douglas fir from the hull of John Steinbeck's Western Flyer boat. The lightest color wood is spruce from Santa Cruz Guitar Company production offcuts. At the base is a dot of ebony with an snowflake shaped, mother of pearl inlay. This little flourish also came from the Santa Cruz
