Due to multicolored slots being tighter than Mono-color due to the limited amount of decks that can play them (a card like Putrid Leech would be a near-staple in Green or Black, but nowadays finds itself on the outside looking in due to a very competitive Golgari guild.) Somewhat similar to a mana rock for instants and sorceries

Kona, Rescue Beastie Kona, Rescue Beastie plays very similarly to Imoti but can put a massive threat into play immediately after it enters the battlefield

So while I can advocate devoting more cards in the deck to mana production, its impossible to devote more slots to each of the other elements as well
