I decide to photograph silhouettes of trees

Pagoda Mountain and Chiefs Head Peak standing in the distance with complimentary colorful rocks submerged in the foreground

I decided to go off trail to capture the sunlight as it penetrated through to the forest floor and illuminate the autumn colors of maple

I continued on along the path noticing the sun beginning to peak through the fog above with more oak trees to the left
