They are designed to help make the front portion of the frame slightly more rigid to keep the front of the frame from denting upon impacts. Sometimes under a high enough impact the stock plug will get pushed back in the frame or popped out. These billet upgrades are resistant to both popping out or in. Silicone for installation is included.
