It has a silver coloured collar which is stamped "Merle & Co.""Merle & Co" was a trade name used by the Zair company from 1898. The stock or shaft is made of golden brown malacca cane, there are a couple of dark spots on it. It has its original open leather keeper and a good fine thong with a red cord lash.
