Jonathan Shaw is a Yorkshire native who has produced some of the most stunning scenes of skies

and the sea is so blue - people who haven’t been to Tiree have said that the sea could never be as blue as it is in my paintings

His art journey saw him obtaining a National Diploma in Art and Design in 1966

Fast forward and he is now indeed a celebrated contemporary artist - painting skewing (but recognisable) townscapes and waterfronts

His art journey saw him obtaining a National Diploma in Art and Design in 1966. He currently lives in Sussex on the coast within reach of the South Downs. Much of his inspiration is drawn from the Lake District, Devon and Cornwall and the Welsh countryside. He has exhibited his works at the Royal Academy and in leading provincial galleries.
