17th Century Steel Spur with Chiselled Decoration - Spur411 ottoman This bridle is made ofA beautifully made steel spur with chiselled or cast diagonal bands of decoration. The short neck bends downwards and also has bands of decoration, it ends in an eight pointed star shaped rowel. Each arm ends in a decorated circular loop. There is a little rust on the lower part of one of these loopsThere are similar spurs in the Muse du Cheval in Saumur and the Civil Museum of Modena, Internal width 9cm (approx 3"), neck 5cm (2"), rowel 4cm
