These sterling silver novelty pepperettes are in the shape of  hunting hornsThey are both hallmarked London 1932 on their bells

There is a maker's stamp in the middle of the port

These spurs are made of brass or bronze (possibly "Hercules bronze" but they are not stamped

The stock or shaft is covered in braided thread - possibly catgut

Early 20th Century Saddle Flask by John Yates - Flask195 button-spurs These sterling silver novelty pepperettesThis conical flask has a silver plated bayonet or captured cap. It is stamped "J. Y & S" (John Yates & Sons). The dark tan coloured case has a good patina. The girth strap is attached so that the flask will sit on the near side of the saddle. The case closes with a billet fastening and has its original top strap which attaches the flask to the D ring of the saddle. It is lined in chamois or doeskin. The top of the case is embossed with the initials
