So many of the cards in the deck put +1/+1 counters on your creatures for minimal effort, and with certain other cards, those counters can stick around even if the creatures with them get removed

This ability combined with Stratos, Tornado Titan enables the player to gain the lore from having Pyros, Lava Titan in play and potentially ready up Stratos, Tornado Titan to once again use its Cyclone ability

It's worth noting that while it may be appealing, I don't think Emet-Selch has a place in a Bounce deck these days because Bounce decks are based on permanents and have a hard time getting cards into the graveyard quickly, but it does provide an excellent way to get back into the game after a Pest Control or other sweeper that deals with your enchantments
