My personal take on this deck is that it has all of the makings of a successful tier 1 deck, but it might need to see a few revisions to have a shot at being the absolute best

In short, this is the latest expansion for the long-running card game

Deadeye Duelist I expect to be a key common for the Black-Red archetype, this card is going to shine if you have other cards that need to be enabled by committing crimes

Then the Vampire was printed next, same cost, this time it adds flying and +1 toughness, but it just works once per turn so it's both better then Mentor (flying, bigger size, no mana needed) and worse (just once per turn)
