Ceramic Vallauris Wall Plate by Paul Azema, France, 1960–1970 Wall Shelf The picture is protected byHand thrown earthenware Mid century modern 1960s plate signed underside a mid century French studio piece in the Vallauris tradition. Brilliant, layered red glaze (orange to carmine marbling) highlights a raised Occitan Toulouse cross picked out in contrasting matte gold ochre slip. The rim shows a subtle lip; the reverse retains a wall hanger (can be displayed flat or hung). Materials: Terracotta (earthenware) with polychrome glaze and relief slip
