Developed by Count Alfred dOrsay (1801 1852) as a snugly fitting improvement on military footwear of the time and later adoptedand elevatedby women, the classic silhouette is distinguished by its arch revealing cutaway sides. This fall 2016 version, in smooth black leather, accents the low cut vamp with a loafer style strap and leg lengthening pointed toe.
