Greater Flamingo Balsa Ornament balsa-raptor are we happy to supposeFlamingos can only eat with their heads upside down, and their pink color comes from the algae and brine they eat. A group of flamingos is called a flamboyance. Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand carved and then painted with non toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
