Oval Sheffield brass tea caddy (c. 1820-30) Glass Vase bordered with an intricate drawnLate Georgian period oval brass tea caddy with applied rope edging on the upper edge of the lid and the rim. Centered on the lid is a sterling pineapple finial. The foot of the caddy has a narrow flair and both the oval body of the caddy and the oval lid top are seam soldered. The silvered surface has been lost with age & use, with faint traces remaining. Hand tooling marks are visible on the flat surfaces. Sheffield, England, circa 1820 30.
